Crickhowell High Street
This is a print of a commission I made. There is a limited run of 50 and each one is numbered and signed by me.
This was a multi-part process and very time consuming- it took over a week, with an awful lot of headsratching!
Firstly glass rectangles had to be cut up to form the background. Then I added individually cut pieces for the buildings, this was then cooked overnight to make the base.
Next I hand painted all the windows and names of the shops. That was a very long and painstaking task but it was lovely to see it taking shape. This was again cooked overnight.
The final stage was to add all the tiny details like the flowerpots, clothes in the windows, bikes, tables and chairs. This was again cooked overnight to attach them to the glass. This is my favourite part of the process as it adds texture and makes the picture come alive.
